Café 1040

"Café 1040 is an intensely experiential 3-month training program inside the 10/40 Window, exposing Christian college students and young adults to missions in the unreached world. Through this semester-long program abroad, students and recent graduates study language, culture, history, religion, and technology. They are exposed to field survival, cultural immersion, and people groups while exploring various topographies. This is hands-on, real world training, preparing the emerging generation for a possible career in missions."

The above is the description on the homepage of Café 1040's website.

I really want to do the Islam program this upcoming summer, but am still debating about doing so. I'm definitely praying about it a lot. I have to apply, granted, but would it be worth going? I'd have to raise $6,000 in support for a length of three months. This pays for everything, though, which is nice. Taking a few classes, I may be able to transfer some credit to Central. I'd be able to reconnect with the Arabic, which would be so great. And I'd get into practical application for missions with Muslims, which I still think about a lot of the time. We'll see.
