Today my dad and I went out to look at flowers. Kind of late in the season to be doing so, but we thought we'd check what's available at this point in time anyway. There were a lot of different types, both of annuals and perennials. Zinnias, gernaiums, hibiscus, azaleas, marigolds, meadow sage, baby's breath, wormwood, yarrow, cone flowers, goldenrods, knockout roses. The list goes on. Oh man.
We have to make sure that the plants we use are unliked by deer, otherwise they will eat everything they come across. Usually the stronger the smell, the less likely they are to find it delectable. Ha.
I'm really enjoying talking it all out with my dad. It's nice to spend more time with him and talk what seems to be more often. I wouldn't trade our chats or times together for the world.
